Oh man, getting sick really gives you MUCH spare time. So much infact, that you can work on two paintings at the same time... sheesh, I really should do something productive, like learning :|


This one is, like you already read in the title, a remake of one of my older pieces: [link] .
It was itching for a while to remake it, since I wasn't very good with watercolors at that time and that expression was just urg...
I'm quite happy how this one turned out to be, but that right wing bugs me though xD


EDIT: Fixed the bottom part of the mask

Done in GIMP (without a tablet)

THIS IS GODLY! I adore the chosen colours; the background really brings the Dark MK to life, yet does not drown him out. Awesome work

Das Bild ist echt cool geworden (ein Hoch auf Spät-Kommentare) und ich mag vor allem seine spitzen Flügel und den Hintergrund. Ich mag auch echt die Idee mit diesen regenbogenfarbenen Schatten auf dem Mond, aber vielleicht hättest du etwas mehr Detail da rienbringen können? : )

Der Mond hat mir so einige Kopfzerbrechen bereitet. Eigendlich war mein Plan, ihn vollkommen normal darzustellen, dabei hatte ich aber leider Probleme, da es sich bloß mit 'ner Maus nicht so gut arbeiten lässt. Dann kam mit die Idee mit dem Regenbogen, lief aber auch nicht besser und dann dachte ich mir: "fuck it, mach aus dem Mond 'nen Spiegel". Deswegen fehlen auch auf dem Mond solche Kleinigkeiten wie Krater und Hügel xD

Awesome! I like how you did DMK's scar, and the background looks appropriately epic (cause, well, DMK is epic..). The only thing that I think needs some improvement is the mask itself; it looks a tad bit lopsided on the bottom. But other than that, this is a fantastic piece of artwork, and I commend you for using a mouse, haha.. drawing with a mouse irritates me..

Now that you mention it, it kinda looks a bit lopsided. I'll try fixing that.
Well, it was really helpful, that I drew the sketch traditionally, so I had to just add the color and renew the lineart... but yeah, just using a mouse makes it way harder.
